I had decided to prepone my electronics pracs which were on saturday to thursday as i had to go out that day.I had to give the electronics HOD,the letter for my change. I went in the break to give her the letter on which she started to ask some startling questions like "where are u going?",i said that i had a family function on which she asked "what is it? ",i thought why the hell did she want it. i replied in a ready to answer tone, “its my brother’s wedding in pune".she gave me a stringent look to see that i wasnt fooling her.i pretended innocent and felt successful as i saw her signing the letter."show it to the teacher if she asks you". i nodded ,with a thanks and left the lab immediately . leaving the lab i called from my vivaz pro(that’s my cell).
Me : hey mom, its all cleared.we can go to the party on saturday. i am attending the pracs today .its ‘Loading effect’ .i suppose it is a lot very easy.
Mom: Good ,I just bought myself a new dress to wear .It is an embroided piece… I liked it. Anyway did u eat the upma . Shev is in the outer chained part (she said the chained part as I had broken all the chains except one)
Me: I will have it now. chalo bye(I didn’t like to talk to my parents on the phone In college and that to in front of my friends as I saw him approaching)
Mom: Ok. Bye .Take care dear.
I said a bye and disconnected the call. "hey anay ,how much did u get in electronics 1? ".I replied with a 40. Cool dude I just passed with a 23 .i felt proud though I didn’t come first. He took out his Samsung s2 (his cell ,a great piece worth to tear the pockets)and started calculating how much 23meant in hundred .) this guy Shantanu, acted like a full on stud though he wasn’t one.” Its 46%“, he shouted, “I wonder how I achieved that feat buddy”, he continued. I replied with a blank face. Now how would you reply when you get 80% in a subject but you are sad for scoring it low and the other scoring 46% is damn happy. We both then sat on the katta had our tiffins and then I left for the lecture and shantanu went home as he had no interest in attending lectures .he put that all on the name of iit studies . I went to attend the maths lecture, I was not at all interested in attending those boring lectures as I had completed that chapter at 21st century(that’s my iitjee coaching class that says-we don’t teach ,we coach)I was still thinking about the Saturdays party at lonavla yet I took on 3 damn boring one sided speeched lectures which felt like I had cut my vein and the blood was flowing which hurt me.
When the bell rang , I stood up at once and with my friend akshay,a genuine scholar, we went to the lab. I was attending the pracs today to repent for my Saturday’s future absence .we walked in the lab kept our bags on the upper deck and came down with my practical book and a pen . I had written the layout of the experiment from my akshay .i was going to perform the experiment with him today.our teacher explained us the experiment ,its details and how to perform it. We drew the circuit diagram and got it signed. We started the experiment, connecting the resistors and a multimeter . we had to set the dc power supply to 10 volts. So we turned on the power supply to change it to ten and akshay started turning the knob to make it 10 volt from 5.3 volts ,and there was a loud explosion ,BOOM!!!!!!! There was a blast and we were cause. The lights went off and fuse was blown. Everyone started looking at us and these were the reactions of all the teachers.
Lab head: Can’t you handle them properly we had warned you!!blah blah blah….
HOD of electronics:This is an electronics lab,take care(quite suttle)
Class teacher:hehehe(actually she giggled and laughed in lips,which made us laugh but we controlled.
Our group teacher: what did you do? Even in loading effect.(she meant that we had made trouble in the most easiest experiment)
Akshay and I were both totally stunned and were staring at each other paralysed. Atlast sangeeta miss came near and said,”its fine,everyone makes mistakes”. That made us relieve. We had actually shorted the DC power supply was post mortoned as the reason for blast.Though we were not scolded, we felt guilty within. We completed the experiment at once ,sitting at other corner and left the lab with a sigh. We gave a sigh of reliefand left home.At the coaching class the entrophy , enthalpy went parallel my head as I was thnking about the blast.
Thus this day 24th November 2011,became a memorable day!!!!!
